English Wanderer was a small company in County Durham offering organised walking holidays around the UK mainly to the American tourist market.
The site was designed to offer full brochure details of the many tours on offer as well as providing some added value content in the form of a series of photographs depicting areas of natural beauty, information on travelling to and around the UK and a photogallery area where past customers could upload images to a public gallery.
The site was driven by a backend database which contained all the site information linked using ASP to the site. The database had its own frontend interface allowing
the company to amend the site content and tour details without having to touch the code.
English Wanderer morphed into Explore Britain in the year 2000 and can be found at www.xplorebritain.com
