The Global Resource Network was an idea I had for a 'contibutors site' in which people were invited to write a short
article about some aspect of their everyday lives. I was hoping that I could get content from different countries on a range of mundane but interesting subjects.
The text would be accompanied with graphical content.
I built the layout to be flexible in that it would expand downward as content was added and also used Ash Whiting's (www.prtbl.com) Flash Blogger application.
I re-skinned this to intergrate it into the layout. Each individual story would appear in a lovely chromeless pop up window. Don't they look smashing?
Of course I could only get one person interested in contributing (Thanks Marty!), so I put everything on hold for a bit then went and got a new job, which meant that even I ran out of enthusiasm.
